Welcome to our ham radio web page! We live in central Alaska (BP53lu) and relocated here from Ohio (EN81om) in 2003. I ( KL8DX) currently operate the HF bands (& 6 meters) and you will find me normally at the bottom of those bands searching for that new one. I enjoy CW (still working on it, high speed challenged) along with RTTY and a side order of PSK31 then SSB. We enjoy giving out contacts for those paper chasers and return QSL 100% for those that follow our QSL instructions. We hope to work you on the bands and even more, add your QSL card to our collection. The photo above is of our current HF radio, an Icom 756PRO.

  • KL8DX logbook is currently online and contains 11,030 QSO records.

KL8DX log current as of August 24th, 2008 @ 2200z

Sorry but the seach applet requires a java aware browser.

This LOG SEARCH will require Java™ and will take a second or so to load. We will update KL8DX logs on a monthly basis and shortly after contests. We also upload to LOTW on a regular basis. We are located in the Denali Borough, 4th Judical District, central Alaska. We do not use E-QSL personally but upload for those that do about once a year.

*QSL INSTRUCTIONS via MAIL or AIRMAIL*

**Any stateside or foreign contacts that do not include sufficent return postage will have their confirmations returned via the ARRL QSL Bureau. We have a very large supply of Airmail envelopes so FOREIGN ONLY stations need only to supply return postage and a complete return address.

Our Station Information

KL8DX & KL8SU

We currently have two towers up in the air and before hanging any metal I had to get my rotor repaired and it is better now than it was when I purchased it brand new! We also purchased the Hazer™ system so we can hopefully save the life of our antennas, not to mention our new rotor with the winds that we experience at our QTH (click HERE for our Hazer building progress photos). Our station consists of the following;
